About Field Theory

The business is strong. The system around it should be, too.

Field Theory is an operator-led commercial systems practice for established service and family businesses. We align how a company is understood, how buyers reach it, and how the team responds.

The practice

Commercial systems, not isolated deliverables

A website can look finished while the buying path remains unclear. A new CRM can hold records while nobody owns the next step. A positioning exercise can sound sharp in a document and never reach the sales conversation.

Field Theory works across those boundaries. The aim is a commercial system that helps the right buyer understand the business, find credible evidence, take a useful next step, and receive a dependable response.

The framework

Four fields that shape the buying path

  • Signal: Positioning, language, identity, and proof that make the business legible.
  • Access: Websites and interfaces that help a buyer find, understand, and act.
  • Flow: Intake, qualification, follow-up, and handoffs that keep inquiries moving.
  • Force: Automation and operating tools that remove friction without removing accountability.

Most engagements touch more than one field, but they do not need to rebuild everything at once. The work starts with the constraint that is creating the most commercial drag.

How we work

Operator-led and evidence-aware

Field Theory is led from Savannah, Georgia by Anderson Duncan, who remains accountable for the logic of each engagement. Vincent Wynn II shares leadership of the practice. Specialists can contribute when a scope requires them, but responsibility does not disappear into a handoff chain.

  • Claims are published only when the evidence and permission support them.
  • Automation stores, routes, reminds, and reports. Human judgment owns promises and exceptions.
  • Clients keep ownership of the accounts, source, content, and operating documentation in scope.
  • Plain buyer language takes priority over internal jargon and brand theater.

Fit

Built for established businesses in a moment of change

The strongest fit is an owner-led or family-led service business with a real reputation, meaningful expertise, and a commercial system that no longer represents how good the company has become. Often there is a transition underway: a new generation, a broader offer, a more capable team, a new market, or a shift from referral dependence toward a repeatable path to demand.

Field Theory is less useful for logo-only work, a cheap brochure template, speculative brand exercises, or paid acquisition before the buying path can hold the demand.

Find the constraint

Start with the field, not a predetermined deliverable.

The free Field Friction Map helps identify whether the immediate constraint is positioning, the website, intake, follow-up, or the connection between them.
